Welcome to the website of Mad Rose Group / Rosenthal Wine Merchant which has been revised, updated and re-formatted as of January 2012.  We recognize that websites have become a critical tool in the quest for information and we have modeled our site to be informative and easy to navigate.

You are currently on our home page that we have titled: “Company Information”.  On this page, using the tabs to the immediate left of this text, you can access the list (“Distributor Map”) of those markets where our wines are distributed and the contacts for each market, a brief history of our company (“Company History”), short profiles of each member of our team (“Staff”) and how to reach us should you have questions, need further information or just generally want to communicate with us (“Contact Us”).  If, when browsing this site, you want to return to this page, click on the tab “Company Information” visible on the upper left side of the screen on any page.

To access the profiles of each of the producers that we represent in the US market, you may either click on the red tab to the immediate right of this text that is marked: Rosenthal Wine Merchant Fine Wines accompanied by the reclining corks … or … you may click on the tab visible in the middle of the top of every page entitled “Producers”.  Once at that page, access to each producer profile is obtained by clicking on a particular region on the map of western Europe that covers the center of the page or by clicking on the specific country denoted in the series of tabs to the left of the screen.  At that point, by clicking on a particular region, you will access the list of our growers located in that area.  Each producer profile provides detail on the domaine, information specific to each of the wines produced at the domaine, labels for each of the wines and often an extensive photo gallery.

As many of you know, we also import specialty food products from several artisanal producers in Italy.  To access that part of the site, where you will not only find information on the producers and their products but can also purchase these products, click on the tab entitled “Specialty Foods” located at the top-center of each page or click on the amber-colored tab on the right hand side of the home page that bears the title:  Rosenthal Wine Merchant Specialty Foods.

There are three other featured areas of this website that we hope you will find of interest.
By clicking on the tab labeled “Concept of Terroir” (located at the top-left side of each page), you will find an explanation of the principle that guides our selection process.  

We have a section devoted to a “blog” called “Occasional Thoughts” (click on the tab of that name that sits at the top-right hand side of each page) which, as it infers, provides us with a means to muse in public, now and then, about events, wines, ideas that have provoked our curiosity or merit some discussion.

Finally, Neal Rosenthal wrote a book some years ago called “Reflections of a Wine Merchant”.  By clicking on the tab carrying the name of the book (situated at the top-center of every page), you can view some remarks about the book and actually purchase a copy as well.
