St Aubin Murgers Dents de Chien ’13

Posted on Posted in Domaine Henri Prudhon, Insights, Occasional Thoughts

Drinking the subject wine tonight with sautéed shrimp and a risotto made with a sample of a carnaroli rice from the Novara region of Piedmont. Classic white Burgundy, Meyer-lemon like acidity, beautifully dense with a long, clean, lively finish. The Prudhons are a class act and are cranking out truly superb wine. We also drank with great satisfaction the other day a bottle of St Aubin Rouge Les Frionnes ’12, a wine that is always the most easy-going of the Reds from this estate, the softest tannins and the fruitiest cuvée.
